Plant Managers have long recognized that the benefits of equipment uptime far outweigh the Rand value spent to ensure this. In production, every minute of downtime has an influence on the bottom line.


SEW Eurodrive South Africa, winner of the 2008 Frost and Sullivan Market Leader Award in the Geared Motor section has announced an additional night shift to accommodate customers with breakdowns.


Customers in the Johannesburg area now have access to 24 hour service Monday to Thursday and standby support from Friday to Sunday which will see teams working to provide customers with express assembly in the case of breakdowns.


Not only will we be able to repair units, but we will also be able to assist customers with new units in the case of a breakdown.


To increase turnaround time, our hotline can be called in the case of a new unit being needed where the current unit is beyond repair. The hotline contact will ensure the service personnel have the parts on standby thus ensuring the efficient and quick assembly of the new unit.


Units up to size 97 and 15kW will be repaired as standard however larger units can be repaired upon consultation with the Hotline.


This  initiative will go a long way towards ensuring customers have less downtime, more availability and better service.
